The Westfield brand is synonymous with emotional connections and unforgettable experiences, and our latest destination, Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier, elevates this to a new level. With a vision focused on creating spaces that foster community interaction, the newly opened urban redevelopment integrates the best retail, dining and entertainment concepts, alongside 4,000 offices workspaces and 579 apartments, all within a vibrant, sustainable new waterside district.

An unbeatable array of shopping options

At the core of Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier’s appeal lies an unmatched retail offer. The centre has attracted a range of renowned global brands and local champions, ensuring a rich retail mix that will captivate diverse visitor tastes. Anchor partners such as German department store Breuninger, Inditex with five brands including one of the largest Zara flagship stores in Germany, H&M, Anson’s, Mango and Thalia are joined by new local retail concepts and startups.

The new mixed-use district will be a launchpad for new brands entering Hamburg's retail scene. Over half of the brands and concepts represented in the quarter have not been present in Hamburg’s city centre, and one-third are entirely new to the city, bringing our visitors fresh experiences.

Dining experiences from across the globe

The focus on a diversified offer extends beyond retail to encompass the centre's 40+ dining concepts. “The Kitchen”, a premium food hall, showcases authentic street food trends, featuring culinary delights from around the world. Visitors can indulge in everything from Japanese ramen at Kazu to modern Turkish cuisine at Speißano, Korean fried chicken at Chingu, Asian vegan at Chay and Poori's Indian street food. The destination also offers a rooftop restaurant with 360-degree views of HafenCity, and Michelin-starred chef Stefan Fäth will be creating the dining concept and menu at gourmet bar and bakery Galactic Bread.

Premium entertainment and leisure

A unique entertainment offer completes Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier’s attractions. The district features Hamburg’s first Kinopolis premium multiplex cinema, with the first Dolby Cinema auditorium in the city. In addition, the first LEGO Discovery Centre in northern Germany and the Port des Lumières immersive art centre will become key attractions.

The destination is also peppered with public spaces offering all visitors tranquil areas in which to relax and meet friends, while a rich programme of concerts, shows and experiences will continue to excite customers on their visits.

Located on the river Elbe, the new district creates a waterside destination where people can socialise against a picturesque backdrop that evokes Hamburg’s maritime past while establishing an iconic new identity. Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier creates a seamless integration of vibrant urban living and a new destination to enjoy with family and friends.

A playground for world-class brand experiences

Westfield Rise, URW's in-house retail media agency, offers a world-class network of digital out-of-home advertising opportunities in high-footfall locations, including five large format screens and 32 digital totems in the district. Event spaces and common areas will become playgrounds for brands looking to engage audiences through activations and experiences that complement the customer experience and deliver lasting impact.
