Celebrating the Westfield Good Festival 2024
38 festivals across Europe and the US
With dozens of days of events across 10 countries and two continents, the Westfield Good Festival 2024 was bigger than ever.
Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, the Westfield Good Festival expanded in 2024 to take place at every one of our 38 Westfield centres. The event, which took place at every Westfield destination in Europe and – for the first time – the US, is our annual sustainability festival, held in collaboration with brands, retailers and non-profit partners. It aims to inspire and support consumers who want to live more sustainably, and to showcase the positive steps brands are making in their environmental transition.
Kicking off the year around Earth Day, April 22, visitors enjoyed sustainability-driven pop-up stores, talks, workshops, markets, craft classes and more.
Circular fashion and sustainable style
Here are some highlights from this year’s Westfield Good Festival!
-
Westfield Forum des Halles and Westfield Les 4 Temps in France hosted a catwalk show in collaboration with We.Slow, an accelerator for sustainable fashion, while more than 40 retailers and 25 local sustainable brands joined NGOs and designers to swap ideas around circular fashion.
-
In Spain, each centre hosted a major outdoor concert featuring rapper Santa Salut, guitarist DePol and singer Fran Perea. The twist? Visitors generated the electricity to power the concert by dancing or by cycling on stationary bikes.
-
In Sweden, Westfield Mall of Scandinavia also celebrated in sustainable style with a clothes swap shop and a remake studio with Sucre Design Studio and renowned tailor Waxiu Shehu. At Westfield Täby Centrum, visitors could explore sustainable cooking classes with the finalists in Sweden's Master Chef, clothing exchanges in collaboration with Ett Hållbart Täby and upcycle workshops.
-
In the US, Westfield Century City transformed its atrium into a lush, green oasis complete with live music serenading guests as they engaged with retail partners and community organizations or took a spin on a prize wheel. Guests could celebrate sustainability and wellness with interactive workshops, community collaborations, clean beauty and eco-friendly home ideas.
Many thanks to all our partners, the teams at our shopping destinations and our visitors for helping to make the Westfield Good Festival a fantastic second year!
The Westfield Good Festival is part of URW's Better Places sustainability plan, which aims to support the environmental transformation transition of cities and the sustainable development of retail.
